HG Gets Zapped!

Today we got a great question from Linda W. and it got our R&D team in the kitchen.  She wanted to know which of our products work in the microwave.  We did some testing and found the 2 recipes below converted very well.  (see them below) We are inspired and intend to keep testing to grow a list of microwavable options.   But I bet many of you can share some great microwaveable options that you use as well.  We’d love to hear them…so post a comment with what you can tell us! 

Here are the 2 we tested….

Creamy Italian Casserole Mix follow step 1 & 2.
3. Cover with wax paper or freezer paper and microwave on high for 20 minutes. Stir and cook 7 minutes longer. Sprinkle remaining cheese over casserole; cover and microwave 3 minutes longer.

1 Mexican Black Beans
3 cups water

1. In a large microwaveable bowl, stir mix and water together.

2. Microwave for 10 minutes.

3.Remove from microwave, cover and let set for 15 minutes.

4. Stir and eat as they are or stir vigorously (or use a potato masher) until beans are a smooth consistency (like refried beans).

Serves 8
