Baked Caramel Apple Cheesecake Tarts

Baked Caramel Apple Cheesecake Tarts

  • 4 Granny Smith Apples
  • Homemade Gourmet® Spiced Dip Mix
  • Homemade Gourmet® Caramel Apple Cheesecake Mix
  • 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8-ounce) container whipped topping, thawed and divided
  • Caramel topping

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut apples in half, cutting between the stem and the bottom sides.  Using a spoon or small scoop, scoop out a portion of the apple flesh, creating a bowl that has an edge of about ¼ of an inch.  Place the apple bowls onto a baking sheet and sprinkle each half with the spiced dip. Bake about 20-25 minutes, or until apples are fork tender.
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, beat the cheesecake mix with cream cheese until smooth and creamy, and then gently stir in 4 ounces whipped topping.
  4. Coat the bottoms of baked apple bowls with a layer of caramel topping and then evenly spoon the cheesecake mixture into each bowl.
