BLT Toad in the Hole


  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 12 slices whole wheat bread, divided
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons Homemade Gourmet® BLT Seasoning Mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar


  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spread butter over one side of 6 bread slices and place butter side down in a 13x9x2 baking dish.
  2. Using a 1½ inch cookie cutter or rim of a glass, cut a hole in the center of remaining bread slices. Place on top of bread slices in baking dish.
  3. Break 1 egg into each hole and top with seasoning and cheese.
  4. Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and eggs are set.
