Blueberry Crumb Cake


  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • ½ cup oatmeal, uncooked
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 Homemade Gourmet® Basic Sweet Bread Mix
  • ½ cup buttermilk or regular milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup fresh or frozen blueberries


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a small bowl, prepare topping mixture by combining butter, oatmeal, sugar and nuts; remove 2 tablespoons to a small bowl, and set both mixtures aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine bread mix, with milk and eggs, until a thick batter is formed. Pour half of the batter into a greased 8×5 loaf pan; top with half of topping mixture and blueberries.
  3. Mix remaining half of batter mixture with remaining half of topping mixture and spread evenly over blueberries.
  4. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons reserved topping mixture over top. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
